ICSC European Retail Property School, Berlin 7-11 July 2014 – Master Class
On Wednesday, 9 July Bertrand Courtois-Suffit, European Shopping Centre Trust (ESCT) Vice Chair and former Chair of the European Advisory Board of ICSC, will introduce the ERPS Master Class on behalf of ICSC and the ESCT to recognise those students that have received a scholarship donated by the ESCT. The ESCT aims to support the attainment of professional education and help further the career development of the Next Generation of professionals.
Josip Kardun is the confirmed speaker for the Master Class. In February 2014 he was appointed as Chief Operating Officer at Atrium European Real Estate, a leading owner, operator and developer of retail real estate and shopping centres in Central and Eastern Europe. Additionally, Josip acts as Deputy Chief Executive Officer and has joined Atrium’s Group Executive Management Team.
Josip, who sits on the Executive Board of ICSC Europe and is past Chair of ICSC Next Generation Committee, is a highly experienced retail property professional with a strong international operational and transactional track record.
European Retail Property School 2014 scholarships

The German Council of Shopping Centers (GCSC) sponsored 6 students within the selected applicants by donation to ESCT.
Two ‘Young Talent Awards’ were presented to French applicants through the French Council of Shopping Centers (CNCC) on 17 June 2014.

Donation to Alp Alkas ICSC Foundation Scholarship Fund
ESCT’s Vice Chairman, Bertrand Courtois-Suffit joined Norris Eber the ICSC Foundation Chairman and Mike Kercheval at the ICSC European Conference in Istanbul on April 2 to present a cheque for $14,000 to Avi Alkas for the ‘Alp Alkas Retail Real Estate Centre’.
The funds were collected from the ICSC membership worldwide in response to the untimely death of Alp on 5 November 2012. The ‘Alp Alkas ICSC Foundation Scholarship Fund’ will support worthy students to attend the Center’s modules in the Certificate Programme.
ICSC Europe pays tribute to Europe Shopping Centre Pioneer
London, UK, 17 December 2013. The International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) Europe has today paid tribute to one of the most influential pioneers of the European Shopping Centre Industry. Charles Joye died in 2008 but his impact is still felt across the sector today.
