Revo Retail Path Apprenticeship Scheme – Another One Fly’s the Nest…

Throughout our careers we see many individuals move onto pastures new but very few will have made such a deep impression with the Highcross shopping centre team, Leicester, UK. As the Business Administration Apprentice at this Hammerson centre, Uzair Mansoor leaves having successfully achieved his Level 2 NVQ apprenticeship and will be embarking on the next chapter of his life with ‘Hastings ‘based in Leicester city centre.

Uzairs’ journey started with 18th months ago, initially spending time in each Highcross department, from back of house bin runs to customer service. The final sixth months were in a business administrator’s role supporting both commercialisation and the wider senior team. There isn’t a department within Highcross that wasn’t positively affected by his enthusiasm and positive attitude.

Hammerson, the Highcross team, Revo Educational Trust and the European Shopping Centre Trust (ESCT) are extremely proud of Uzair and the journey he’s undertaken throughout his apprenticeship. From his professional ability to work with staff, management, retailers and customers internally, to his ability to represent both Highcross and Hammerson at educational careers events with local schools and colleges, and national bodies such as Revo Education Trust. Uzair has been a great ambassador for Highcross and the Retail Path scheme. He is a celebrated example of what is achievable when developing the skills and behaviours needed by young people to be successful in the work place.

ESCT are proud to be sponsors of Retail Path and send their best wishes to Jo Tallack, the General Manager at Highcross for her dedication and support of this life changing educational initiative.
